What Top Executives Say About the Future of Work

Throw it forward three, four, five years. What is work gonna look like?

During the pandemic, like the where work was done was challenged across the world. And then we think about how work was done. And now I think we're going back to like what is work?

Sometimes the best thing we can do is unlearn what is no longer serving us. And to acknowledge that what may have worked five years ago, one year ago and was fantastic, logic, rationale, return on investment, it may not be that anymore.

What if I told you three years from now, this is the challenge we should put out, that 50% of the work done in your company could be done by AI, but that you had to keep your headcount flat? That's the question we should be asking our leadership teams.

Is that how you're thinking about it?

Absolutely. What new products would you build? What new clients would you go after?

As we enter into this new evolution and revolution where skills are becoming less, well, becoming more usurped more often by AI, attributes become the MVP for human beings. It's our massive value proposition.

Your culture matters more than ever. What do you value? Are you seeking productivity? Are you looking for less workers? Are you looking to have growth? Like those are choices that each of us make around our values of our organizations, but wellbeing is what creates the sustainability for you to make those choices work.

Technology is the easy part in all of this. These bigger strategic discussions, the culture change you've gotta drive, the hard work around work redesign. That is what gets you all of the value out of the technology. And that's what I don't miss that point.
