This is a hit to University of Pennsylvania doctors who have used for the first time a personalized gene-editing tool to help a baby who had a rare genetic disorder that inflicts about one in 350 million babies. Now, this was only possible because of decades of American research and innovation, and is hopefully the future of American Medical System.

Paul, I wanna give a miss this week noting the Putin stiffing the United States negotiators in Istanbul over peace in Ukraine. Look, Putin is disrespecting the president and abusing the considerable goodwill that he's extended him. And I think there's two things now we can do. The first is pass a big punishing sanctions bill on through Congress, and the second is get ready to give Ukraine some more arms. Hopefully that's where this goes.

I will give a miss to President Trump's Liberation Day tariffs, or at least was left of them. First Trump was spooked by financial markets and put a 90-day pause on most of them. Now, this week he blinked on China. Trump had promised 145% tariffs, but worried about empty store shelves. He's taken that down to 30%. Still, Walmart execs are warning that price increases are coming later this month and more in June. So hold onto your wallets.
