Hassett Optimistic About U.S.-China Trade Talks in U.K. 

Expect it to be a short meeting with a big, strong handshake and we'll see, but that's what we're expecting. Our expectation is that after the handshake, then immediately after the handshake, any export controls from the US will be eased and the rare earths will be released in volume, and then we can go back to negotiating smaller matters. This was a very significant sticking point because China controls, as you know, something like 90% of the rare earths and the magnets, and if they're slow rolling, setting those to the US because of some licensing deal that they set up, then it could potentially disrupt production for, you know, some US companies that rely on those things.
